This is how Ty and I spent our morning, with a trip to Starbucks and a short walk along Okanagan Lake. The weather thus far has been far from Penticton-like, but that's all about to change as the temperature is supposed to hit 28 today and then 32 for the next couple of days. Our drive out here was great, and Ty is an awesome little traveller. He fussed a little north of Vernon and a bit thru Kelowna but that was it. We stopped for an hour in Golden for lunch and made two other stops to get gas and to give Ty a bottle. We made it here in ten hours which we thought was pretty good. There was no weather to speak of and hardly any traffic.
On Sunday, for my first Mother's Day, Ty gave me a card (courtesy of Grandma) and she pressed his little thumb into her red lipstick and then "signed" the card with it. Ah, too cute! I'll treasure it always. We went for breakfast with some of the Rylls and then we had a Alaskan King crab feast for supper that night.
Other than that, we've just been relaxing and running some errands for Grandma who has damaged some cartilage in her knee and could barely walk but is doing better now. This weekend is my Dad's car show so we'll be going to Summerland on Saturday for the show 'n shine. I need to get Ty's picture taken with the Model A Ford my Dad just restored so Ty can call dibs on it before Sophie can!
Hope everyone has a great May long weekend!
