Curlette

This morning I got up, flipped on the Olympics, fed the cats (yes, in that order) and noticed the sport of biathalon was on. It got me thinking: Who invented this crazy sport? I don't know one person who, when getting ready to go skiing, makes their checklist like this:

Skis? check
Poles? check
Ski pants? check
Rifle? check

Yeah, got to make sure to pack that rifle for my day of skiing.

So I've decided to invent a new sport. It combines the sport of curling and the art of omelette making ~ yes, that beloved time-honoured sport of curlette.

In this Olympic event, between throwing rocks, you must make an omelette. The skip would crack the eggs and add the ham and cheese or whatever, and the sweepers would be whisking and flipping, because, you know, that's kind of like sweeping. The skip would yell at them, "Hurry, hurry hard", so the eggs would cook evenly, and then there'd be a panel of taste-testing judges. See, this sport not only puts curlers to work instead of standing around between throws, it also employs judges so it's good for the economy. At the end of the game, your points would not only be calculated in the traditional curling method, they would also be calculated according to taste. On a 7.8 point scale, of course, because that's how those curletters want it.

And that, my friends, is curlette.
