Last night I finished reading Night by Elie Wiesel, his short but powerful memoir of his time in concentration camps during the Holocaust. If you don't know much about the Holocaust this would be a good start because it's a personal story, not like reading a history textbook, and it will definitely open your eyes to the horrors of this time in world history. Mr. Wiesel was also awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and in his acceptance speech he said, "One person of integrity can make a difference, a difference of life and death", and this is evident from his writings. I encourage you to read this book.
