Saturday

Great title, eh? So this is about our Saturday: After having only an hour morning nap (usually it's two hours) we took Ty out to Stettler (45-minute drive) to see Ryan's Mom, Grandma, and her husband, Papa Doug. He slept during the drive, then woke up when we got there, much to his Grandma's delight. We had lunch, then Ryan hung some pictures for his Mom. Ty was getting fussy, and eventually he fell asleep in my arms for an hour, but not much of a nap. We stayed until 4 pm, and he slept again on the way home. We had decided to go to the Rebels game last night because we didn't go the night before due to the extreme windchill and we've missed so many games this year (a combination of Ryan's work, the poor play of the Rebels, and trying to keep a newborn, who's more alert, sitting still for three hours) so we felt we should go. We loaded Ty up in his snowsuit and headed out again. Ryan dropped Ty and I off at the door, and when we got in the doors, I ran into our friends Riley & Laurel and their 1-year-old daughter Annika so we decided to sit with them. It was great seeing them and sitting with them, but poor Ty. He slept a little bit during the game but not much and his whole day/night routine was in shambles. When we left the game, Ryan went to get the truck to pick us up out front but the "security" people at the Centrium wouldn't let him through so we had to walk Ty out to the parking lot in the - 36 windchill that had developed during the game. I kept his little face (the only part of him exposed) in my chest as much as I could but I felt terrible for him. He was so tired and it was such a long day, so the lesson of my Saturday was not to overschedule my 3-month-old from 7 in the morning until 10 at night.
And the picture of Ty & Molly was also from yesterday, and that's for my parents who were asking about the girls. Next time I'll show a picture of Sami, but she doesn't hang out with Ty too often. She's still pretty much just in love with me!
